  Tuesday, September 6, 2005 | Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run

On September 6, 2005, at 8 a.m., Mey Maruya was walking her dog “Vicky” in the area of National Boulevard and Hayden Avenue. As they crossed National Boulevard in a westerly direction, she and Vicky were struck by a silver 4 door sedan that was driving southbound on National Boulevard, killing them both. After the collision, the driver fled the location, failing to render aid, assistance or personal information.

The driver is described only as a male Black, 40-45 years old, with short black hair.

Despite the best efforts of witnesses and the Culver City Police Department, no identification of the vehicle or the driver has been made.

  Wednesday, February 2, 2005 | Murder of 25-year old, Laniece Owens
On February 2, 2005 at approximately 11:00 a.m., Officers discovered Owens' body inside her residence, located at 3902 Lenawee Ave., Culver City. Despite the best efforts of witnesses and members of the Police Department, we have been unable to identify any suspect/suspects.

  Saturday, December 6, 1997 | Murder of 50-year old, Dong Sung Kwak
On December 6, 1997 at approximately 10:05 p.m., an attempt armed robbery occurred in the parking lot of a gas station, located at 10332 Culver Blvd. During the commission of the crime, Kwak was shot and killed. The suspect, described only as a male Hispanic, was last scene running down the street and getting into a vehicle occupied by another male individual. Despite the best efforts of witnesses and member of the Police Department, we have been unable to identify any suspect/suspects.

  Saturday, February 18, 1995 | Murder of City resident, Guadalupe Rodriguez
On February 18, 1995 at approximately 11:20 a.m., co-workers discovered Rodriguez' body inside his camper, located at 8850 Exposition Blvd., Culver City. Despite the best efforts of witnesses and member of the police department, we have been unable to identify any suspect/suspects.
